Most Web3 events in Vietnam are held in one of three kinds of venue: hotel conference rooms, coffee shops rented floor by floor, and stages in exhibition centers. All three do the basic job of seating people to hear speakers. But what the crypto community really comes for is meeting people they only know by a Telegram username, and all three are poor at that.
Why the Web3 community needs something to do together
People in the blockchain community are used to talking through screens. They message each other daily in Discord or Telegram groups, discuss projects, share analysis, and sometimes argue. When they meet in person, the hard part isn't "what do we talk about" but "how do I start talking to a stranger?"
A meetup with only chairs and a stage makes that harder. When the whole group tries something physical, like taking the wheel and running a lap, conversation comes naturally. The winner gets teased, the person who spun out gets asked if they're okay, and by the time everyone sits down for a drink, nobody is a stranger.
That's why Web3 events at Infinity Racing are more than a talk moved to an unusual venue. It gives the community an experience they'll remember.
What Infinity Racing offers for a community event
Infinity Racing is Vietnam's first three-level indoor kart track, at Vincom Thao Dien, 161 Vo Nguyen Giap, Thu Duc City. The track is 300 m long with 16 corners. According to the operator, it welcomes about 8,000 visitors a month, and 80% of guests already hold a car driver's license, so this is an adult space, not a children's play area.
There are two separate event areas. Zone 1 (73 m²) is the warm-up area and a place for people waiting for their turn. Zone 2 (115 m²) is designed as a networking lounge, suited to introductions, mingling and brand displays. For a Web3 meetup, Zone 2 can host a short talk while Zone 1 is where people chat as they wait for their race.
There's another practical advantage: the whole track is indoors, so the schedule doesn't depend on the weather. When speakers are confirmed and times are announced on community channels, not having to plan for rain is one less worry.
A half-day Web3 event at the track
A structure that works for a mid-size community gathering has four parts.
- A short introduction in Zone 2, 30 to 40 minutes at most, with one or two speakers the community knows.
- Race rounds of a few minutes each, putting people who don't know each other in the same round.
- Open networking with food and drinks, by which point everyone has something to talk about.
- A wrap-up, photos and, if you run a tournament, the leaderboard.
Watch how you assign rounds. If people who already know each other sit together, they'll only talk to each other. Pairings made by the organizers push them to meet someone new.
What to confirm before locking the venue
Don't take any venue on trust, however impressive its track looks. For a Web3 event with a livestream, ask the operations team these questions directly and put the answers in the contract.
- Is the internet connection stable enough for a livestream, and is there a backup line?
- Is the sound system suitable for a Q&A session, given that kart noise can intrude?
- Is there room for cameras, screens and technical equipment?
- What is the maximum number of people per area under fire regulations?
Don't guess at any of this or rely on a venue's advertising. Visit in person before the booking date, the way exhibition organizers do when they check a venue.
Be careful about content
Crypto and blockchain events have many sensitive areas, especially when talking about token sales, promoting exchanges or promising returns. Vietnam's legal framework is changing fast, so have a lawyer check the program content before you publish it. The article on organizing a Web3 event in Vietnam covers the general preparation checklist.
When to choose the track, and when not to
The track suits you when the goal is community connection, you expect anywhere from a few dozen to a few hundred attendees, and the program doesn't depend too much on a big stage. It suits less if the event needs a hall with thousands of seats, or if most attendees don't want to take part in a physical activity.
For groups under 20, the operator says it can still run the event by splitting rounds sensibly. If you're considering a gathering for your own community, see the Infinity Racing page or send a quote request with your expected headcount and preferred date.
Whether people leave having met someone new matters more than whether the venue looks good.
